Tender and Quotation Closing and Advertising Timelines for the Christmas and New Year Period

The following dates will apply for the closing and advertising of tenders and quotations over the Christmas/New Year period.

Quotations and Tenders Online

Public Quotations and Tenders Online provides businesses with the ability to complete public quotation and tendering transactions with the Northern Territory Government electronically. Businesses can also lodge responses to public quotations and tenders via Office and Tender Box locations. Businesses should check lodgement requirements as specified in the Request for Quotation or Request for Tender.

Requests for Public Quotations will close every business day at 2.00 pm at Contracts and Procurement Services (DBE).

Requests for Tenders close every Wednesday at 2.00 pm via the Northern Territory Government electronic tender box, physical tender box, postal and facsimile as specified in the Request for Tender.

 

Government Contracts Important Changes effective 30 March 2009

An increase to all procurement thresholds

	Tier 1	Less than $15 000	Single written quotation
	Tier 2	$15 000 but less than $50 000	Minimum 3 written quotations
	Tier 3	$50 000 but less than $200 000	Public Quotation available on Quotation and Tenders Online
	Tier 4	$200 000 but less than $5M	Public Tender
	Tier 5	$5M and greater	Public Tender

Tier 2 - $15 000 but less than $50 000
		Three written quotations required
		Minimum four business days to submit quotation
		Reduced documentation for quotation responses
		Northern Territory Industry Capabilities Network (NTICN) consultation.

Tier 3 - $50 000 but less than $200 000
		Public quotations issued via Northern Territory Government Quotation and Tenders Online
		Reduced documentation for quotation responses
		Minimum four business days, dependent upon complexity, to submit quotation via a range of lodgement options
		Lodgements can be made daily at CAPS offices, or electronically via Northern Territory Government Quotation and Tenders Online
		Contractor Accreditation Limited (CAL) required (if applicable).
